I know… I know… I’ve been MIA for a few weeks once again..
My little brother was involved in a very serious accident a few weeks ago 8 hours from home, so my family and David’s friends have spent most of our time in and out of the hospital, hotels, and then trying to make things as easy as possible for him when he gets home.
My brother is finally home again! He and his wife have had to move in with my parents because my brother is not able to use his arms or hands:( He has already had two extensive surgeries on both arms and hands and has 3-4 more to go. He was sent home to rest and let the swelling go down before he goes in for more surgery. The doctors are very pleased with how everything is going and have high hopes for my brother!
I don’t really talk a lot about my personal life and family on here because it is a style and beauty blog, but my family is the most important thing in my life and when you have someone you love with all your heart seriously injured, it puts life in perspective. My brother has been through sooooo much the last couple of weeks. I can’t even imagine the pain he has been in… It breaks my hearts and makes me cry thinking about what he has been through. He has pushed himself and tried to keep a smile on his face throughout it all. His friends have been by his the entire time. There is hardly a minute that they weren’t there by his side. They cheered him up, put smiles on his face, pushed him to walk, and reminded him that he can do anything if he puts his mind to it. He means the world to me and my family and his friends and we are going to be by his side through out this whole recovery! He is a very kind hearted, silly, and strong willed young man. He has a wife and little boy on the way, so I know nothing will keep him from gaining back mobility of his arms and fingers.
I don’t know how many of you believe in miracles, but God truly had his hands over my brother during his accident…My brother is meant to do great things and I can’t wait to see what this big world has in store for him! I hope my son is as goofy, loving, and strong willed as his Uncle Day Day!
